There is also another method of skipping the first set of levels, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 2 version. Some land is is solid up there, and by walking on it, the player can clip Sly into the casino. Then walk along the rooftops on the left side of the casino until you go out of bounds. This space is so tight, it will launch Sly into the air. In order to bypass the first set of levels, wedge Sly between the left side of the casino and the rocks just next to it. If the player has a horseshoe equipped, Sly will jump back behind the cannon, which will send him through the cutscene trigger and send the player straight to Raleigh. Ensure to always jump at the exact time Sly lands on the ground, as this will prevent the game from identifying him as grounded. In order to bypass them, stand behind the cannon, then repeatedly jump away until landing in the water at the flooded area close by.

After the electric barrier is destroyed, you are free to advance to the second set of levels. It is recommended to jump off the roof and land at the key-throwing trigger to produce the best result. They will fire homing projectiles at you, which can destroy the electric barrier. In order to bypass the first set of levels, walk near the generator, then get spotted by the squid guards on the roof. Note: This can only be done for " Tide of Terror", " Sunset Snake Eyes", and " Fire in the Sky" " Vicious Voodoo" requires all Treasure Keys to be collected in order to access the boss fight.
This exploit allows the player to skip ahead to the boss fight without collecting the Treasure Keys prior. This is useful if a checkpoint is located on an upper section of a level, allowing you to drop down to the lower section, grab the hourglass in the super jump and fall into water, a pit, or a stuck spot to get sent back to your last known grounded position. Note: You can use a glitch called super jumping which is explained in this page to exploit the hourglass even further. With the use of the " Roll" power-up for backtracking to the hourglass after respawning at a checkpoint, you can complete many sprints very easily. Sly is now free to backtrack to the hourglass or in some cases, depending on the design of the level, you can go through entire levels to kill/destroy all the guards, alarms, etc, and return to a checkpoint to reactivate it, which will save everything you just did to the environment in the level of your choosing. This exploit allows you to respawn the hourglass that is used to initiate the " Master Thief Sprints" simply by activating a checkpoint in a level that is relatively close to the hourglass and dying. If playing on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita, the trophies " Foxy Lady" and " Greedy Raccoon" (obtained by collecting the police file and opening all vaults respectively) will be missed. Note: Doing this exploit prevents you from opening the vault on the current save file and will, therefore, make 100% completion impossible. Now leap towards the middle of the face of the building and, if done correctly, you will fall down into the parking lot. After grabbing onto the ledge, jump up without pushing forward, and you will land on the corner. Jump on to the antenna and then jump towards the corner of the building. Instead of climbing up the water tower, you can go past it to the very back of the roof to end up near a spinning vent. This exploit allows you to complete the level without entering Police HQ. When the game resumes, you will have the same amount of lives. You can conserve lives by accessing the map screen and changing levels, or you can restart the level while the death animation is playing.
